I want to teach the kids to look out the windows, learn to entertain themselves, and learn to wait 5 minutes for the next surprise 'new' toy.

It has been just recently that audio books have been introduced to the kids. Actually, it is mainly audio dramas (Brinkman Adventures, Sir Bernard, Jonathon Park), but there are books in there too. I love hearing the questions the kids come up with and would much rather they do audio books/dramas than a movie. I think it has become the compromise between my husband and I.

My biggest tip is to leave at night or in the evening. We find that my husband drives best at the first part of the night and I LOVE driving in the early morning hours. Traffic is light and I get to watch the sun rise.
